Amid a stretch of extraordinarily heavy snowfall, strong winds and broken and shifting ice, polar explorers Lonnie Dupre and Eric Larsen from Grand Marais, Minn., who had hoped to become the first adventurers to cross the Arctic Ocean in summer, abandoned their expedition Thursday after advancing only 45 miles in 24 days.

So, let me get this straight.  To prove global warming and the heating up of the Artic, these 2 guys went to the Artic and encountered ice cold conditions.  Well, they proved one thing.  They're morons. 

Anyone remember, last January, when Al Gore held a press conference in NYC to discuss global warming and it turned out to be a record cold day  (something like 2 degrees)?
