Why do we care so much about the goodwill of the "world"?
Shouldn't they care more about the goodwill of the U.S.?
The United States is by far the largest consumer of products in the world. Why would they want to get on our bad side?

Goodwill gets you nothing except a pat on the back. It doesn't pay the bills. It doesn't feed the family. It doesn't keep the thief away from your car. It is just goodwill. Well thanks, but no thanks if it means my hands are tied and I have to ask you approval to go to the bathroom.

When we say the world needs to approve our military responses let me ask you this: Which countries specifically do we need approval from?
China?
Russia?
France?
Germany?
Saudi Arabia?
Cuba?
Sudan?
Nigeria?
