Two major events took place in London this week. 

LIVE8  tried to show the plight of the African Continent.  It was a well-meaning convergence of stars, celebrities, and legends.

The Terrorist atrocities that took place on July 7th tried to destroy the morale of the British populace.

Ironically, they happened for the same reason.

What do these two events have in common?  Neither would have happened without tyranny and lack of freedom.  (If you enjoyed the music of LIVE8 then you can give a cheer for lack of freedom and tyranny)

It's not the G8's fault that African is mired in poverty and hopelessness. 

It's not western civilizations' fault that Islamic terrorism exists.

Let's blame the rightful owners:  OPPRESSION. 

If African nations weren't just a pit of warlords, feudel fiefdoms, thug militias, and heinous dictators, the people of Africa would actually be able to have lives. 

Erasing the debt owned to these warlords, fiefdoms, militias, and dictators does nothing to help the ordinary human being on the continent.  Only freedom and democracy can save their lives.  Do you doubt this?

The same is true with terrorism.  These murderers all come from the same world of warlords, fiefdoms, militias and dictators throughout the Muslim world.  They are oppressed.  They have few options in life.  Not because of the west but because of their own people who oppress them.  Do you doubt this?

Given choices in their lives, the people of the Muslim world and the people of Africa would be able to solve their own problems, and without violence.
